Revision of the genus Bryopolia  Boursin, 1954

    (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)

Abstract:  The characterization of Bryopolia  and the related genera with the description of a new genus, Bryoxena  gen. n.  are given. All the species of Bryopolia  and Bryoxena  are illustrated, six new species:  Bryoxena plantei  sp.  n. (Afghanistan, Ladakh), Bryoxena confluens   sp.  n.  (Afghanistan),  Bryoxena  constricta  sp.   n.   (Afghanistan),  Bryopolia  tsvetaevi   sp.  n.  (Pamir, Afghanistan),  Bryopolia monotona  sp. n. (Afghanistan), Bryopolia thomasi   sp.   n.  (Ladakh)  and  two  new  subspecies,  Bryoxena centralasiae bryochlora  ssp. n. (Mongolia), and Bryopolia thomasi weigerti  ssp.  n.  (Pakistan)  are described. "Bryopolia " bacheri  Püngeler is transferred to Polymixis.

Abstract: A survey of the taxa of the genus Cucullia, Agrochola   and Autophila   with the description of four new species and three new subspecies is given (N Pakistan, N India, Afghanistan, Uzhbekistan).

 
Zusammenfassung: Aus einem Spektrum von insgesamt 13 Cucullia-Schrank-Arten aus dem westlichen Himalayaraum werden die folgenden Taxa beschrieben:

 

Cucullia cineracea cyanogrisea   ssp. n.

Cucullia cineracea  argyllacea   ssp. n.

Cucullia duplicata thomasi   ssp. n.

Cucullia aksuana  Boursin, 1941 wird als Art neu definiert  (stat. n.).

Aus Nordpakistan, Nordindien (Ladakh), Uzhbekistan und Afghanistan werden 4 Arten beschrieben:

Agrochola leptographa   sp. n.

Agrochola  naumanni    sp. n.

Agrochola spectabilis   sp. n.

Autophila fuscolampra   sp. n.

Abstract.  Description of the following new species: Euxoa melanochroa  (Pamir), E. hissarica     (Hissar mts, Sheva - plateau), E. naumanni  (E- Afghanistan, Pamir, Karakoram), E. xanthophylla   (Sheva - plateau), E. murzini   (Pamir), Dichagyris leucographa  (Pamir), D. scotographa   (Pamir, Karakoram), Rhyacia oromys  (Pamir, Karakoram), Rh. evartianae  (Hindukush, Darwaz), Chersotis electrographa    (Darwaz) are given.

 

 

 

New taxa of the genus Metalopha  Staudinger, 1892 (Lepidoptera, Noctuidae)

Abstract:  the survey of the taxa of the genus Metalopha   with the descriptions of a new subgenus, Antholopha   subg.  n., one new species  M.  (A.)  ionodoxa  sp. n. (NE Turkey, Armenia) and  two new subspecies M. (A.) gloriosa victorina   and M. (A.) ionodoxa euchalcina   ssp. n. (NW Iran)  are given.  M.  (A.) ingloria   Draudt, 1933 is downgraded to the subspecies of M. (A.) gloriosa   Staudinger.

Abstract: The synonymy of Isopolia   Warren, 1913 with Nyctycia   Hampson, 1905  is clarified and two new species, N. sugii   sp. n. (Korea) and N. laci    sp. n. (India) are described.
